Social Service Navigation at Pāhoa Public & School Library A Puna Social Service Navigator and Certified Kokua Specialist from Kumukahi Health + Wellness will be on-site to offer first-come, first-served navigation and appointment setting. Get help with SNAP, MedQuest, the Federal Marketplace, mental health resources, domestic violence support, family services, kūpuna assistance, home repair loans, volunteer opportunities, emergency rental aid, and more. Life in Puna looks different than in other parts of our island, and asking for help can feel hard—even from friends or neighbors. Stop by Mondays from 12–4 PM to talk story and find the support you need. Together, we can do so much. Program is suitable for age 18 and over. All children must be accompanied by a parent or an adult caregiver. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Family Literacy Night

Join RTMI (Read To Me International) & the Waimea Public Library for read-alouds, a light meal, and a kid-friendly craft! Families who register on the RTMI & Waimea (Kauaʻi) Public Library Family Literacy Night Registration Page will receive a free new picture book to take home with a reading resource packet. This monthly program (3rd Mondays) is especially for families with children 4-8 years old, and younger/older siblings are welcome to join.
