Movie Mondays
In celebration of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme of ʻUmeke Kāʻeo, we’ll be showing several food-themed movies on Monday afternoons from now through the end of July. Join us on Monday, July 6th at 2pm for our showing of Big Night. Starring Tony Shalhoub (of TV’s Monk fame), Stanley Tucci, Ian Holm and Isabella Rossellini, the movie takes place in New Jersey in the 1950s. Two brothers run an Italian restaurant. Business is not going well as a rival Italian restaurant is out-competing them. In a final effort to save the restaurant, the brothers plan to put on an evening of incredible food.
Please be advised, this film is rated R for language and is thus recommended for ages 17+. Film run time is 1 hour & 49 minutes.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
